This diagram demonstrates a fully converged solution across 2 communication platforms.  Voice and data devices sit on the Local Area Network (LAN) and by using a high security communications platform, in this case BT MPLS, a protected Wide Area Network (WAN) with defined Quality of Service (QOS) has been created. The IP enabled telephone systems utilise Voice Over IP (VOIP) and MPLS connectivity between sites carries internal calls accross the link, rather than through the public telephone system, at no cost. Breaking out through the Internet enables homeworkers to connect to the converged network accessing both voice and data.
